So. I did the 45-minute scrap sketch ( [link] ) and thought that'd be the end of it. But, no -- I got pestered for something more realistic. More time-consuming and detailed and such, with -proper- birds and all.

I'm -hardly- going to sit here and refuse Odin, now am I?

And, while a little research proved to me that the ravens are far more crow-sized... well... One tried.

Title borrowed from the Hagalaz' Runedance album 'Volven', the song of which I listened to a lot while working on this.

Medium: Pencil; colored in Photoshop Elements.

O_o I was looking for Lokis...and then I run smack into this guy! Excellent representation of him; his face has character, the hat is considerably less odd-looking than the witchy one and still shows the one-eyed-ness, which not enough pictures of him do, and the inclusion of Hugin and Munin is great. And I want to steal the brooch.

Oh - and thank you for not making him look just like Gandalf!

What with Hobbit, etc., pulling a lot from Norse mythology, I s'pose it's not all that surprising... Odin probably was part of the early inspiration for Gandalf. But, yes. Silly people. XD
